Were you wondering just when the marriage between cell phones and fiction would take place? Me neither. But it has. There are several journals, via Twitter (some phone thing I think) are publishing stories of 140 characters or less. That's not words, that's characters. We're talking two sentences. I have a feeling Faulkner would struggle with this limitation. This is some small stuff, the Muggsy Bogues of Fiction. Fitting a story in such a tiny space is an inspirational challenge. It certainly works out the editing and brevity muscles and your quads probably too. Here are five places that do such insanely small fictions if you want to read what people are coming up with or if you think you can do it yourself.
